How did Marie’s journey with DVP Fitness begin?
Like many others, Marie came to us feeling stuck and at a standstill with her weight loss goals. Marie is a busy Mum, works full time and needed something that would fit seamlessly into her already busy life. This is where DVP came into the picture.
We undertook an extensive assessment in what Marie’s food intake and habits looked like on a daily basis, and identified what simple changes could be made that would go towards making a significant difference. Interestingly enough, Marie was not consuming enough to support her metabolism, this meant her body was retaining everything it was taking in, so the first step was to put her on a meal plan that would sufficiently support her needs & give her metabolism the boost it needed.
Marie was scared & sceptical on how increasing her food intake was going to help her achieve weight loss but she trusted in me as her Coach and she trusted in the process. Her trust in us started the beginning of her journey to success.
What changes did we implement in Marie’s life?
Marie started on the Meal Planning & Nutrition Program, personally tailored to her Health & Fitness goals and of course, her busy lifestyle.
Once we started seeing a good level of consistency, we started educating Marie on how to make meal swaps so that she was able to widen her daily variety of food choices.
We put in place positive daily habits, including realistic a realistic step count goal, water intake and sleep goals.
We educated Marie on how to manage eating out, functions & events without tracking or restricting herself. We guided her through this and were there to make recommendations to support her during the learning process.
Finally, ‘Mindset’ came into play. This is where we saw the biggest breakthrough and growth with Marie. Through working on her mindset, we were able to shift the “all or nothing” mentality to “consistency over perfection” and once this was truly put into practice, the fat loss continued to come in at a more rapid pace as a side effect.
